Merchandise Assistant

All Babies need care and development whilst they are growing up and all Mum's expect the very best from the products that they are using for this. Making sure Parents have the best choice of quality products for their child is key at Mothercare

We are looking for a Merchandise Assistant to join both our Clothing and Home and Travel teams.

What does that mean for you? It's supporting the Assistant Merchandiser in everything they do (and in the process learning as much as you can from them).

In more detail some of the key things the Merchandise Assistant will do are:

  • A high attention to detail combined with good organising and prioritising skills, the better to liaise effectively with shipping agents and monitor delivery schedules;
  • Excellent customer service skills to build good working relationships with our designers, buyers and suppliers who depend on the Merchandising Team to keep their businesses running smoothly with on-time stock;
  • Good team working ethic in order to support your senior colleagues in a variety of routine and ad-hoc tasks and become part of a smooth-running team;
  • The ability to work under your own initiative, taking responsibility for making some commercial decisions directly relating to your tasks without constant direction;

Of course this list isn't exhaustive and there's loads more to it than that - this is a busy role, ideally suited to numerate and details-focused people who are keen to start a career in retail merchandising if you want a new role in a great business apply now as the career path ahead is great for people who are up to the challenge!
