The Local Sales Manager is responsible for providing leadership to a group of stores (around 10). They are responsible for achieving sales for their group (or cluster), providing advice and guidance to their store managers and ensuring that the ELC brand standards are alive and well in their stores - sales, team development and of course PLAY!
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB.
- To meet or exceed cluster sales target
- To achieve Brand Standard in all cluster stores - Playtime, Selling, Staff turnover
- To achieve " Centre of Excellence" Brand Standard in base store. Including sales performance
- To recruit, retain and develop high quality store managers
KEY TASKS
- To carry out all normal management duties within base store, maintaining all areas of store operations to the required standard.
- To ensure that base store consistently reflects the highest level of brand impact thereby creating a centre of excellence.
- To give clear direction to staff within the area focused on the delivery of the required standards of merchandising, presentation, housekeeping, Customer service and promotional activity. Responsible for delivering consistent Brand Standards in all cluster stores.
- To ensure that all retail units provide a safe and healthy working environment, following all legal obligations with regards to Health and Safety and Safe Working practises.
- To maximise the in-store use of staffing budgets ensuring best practise in terms of staffing levels and rotas.
- To ensure that all company policies and procedures are implemented correctly.
- To assist store managers in the recruitment of part time staff.
- To monitor the training of all part time staff.
