Store Manager ELC - Scarborough

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

• To meet or exceed store sales target
• To achieve Brand Standard in customer service and selling
• To achieve Brand Standard in product presentation and merchandising
• To recruit, retain and develop high quality team members.

KEY TASKS

1. To carry out all management duties within base store, maintaining all areas of store operations to the required standard.
2. To give clear direction, advice, support and guidance to staff within the store, focused on the delivery of the required standards of merchandising, presentation, housekeeping, customer service and promotional activity. Responsible for delivering consistent Brand Impact and Customer Experience in store.
3. To maximise the in-store use of staffing budgets, ensuring best practise in terms of staffing levels and rotas.
4. To ensure that all company policies and procedures are implemented correctly.
5. To manage staff within the store, ensuring staff are motivated and trained on an ongoing basis.
6. To monitor all shop overheads i.e. staffing costs, electricity, stationery etc. ensuring budgets are adhered to in order to maximise shop profitability.
7. To oversee all shop administration ensuring all head office instructions are actioned and staff fully advised of product changes and developments as necessary. To implement any promotional or training initiatives as required.
8. To monitor Health & Safety practises, thereby ensuring that the store provides a safe and healthy working environment, through periodic checks and risk assessments, following all legal obligations with regards to Health and Safety and Safe Working practises.
9. To recruit, train and develop a team of talented individuals who are motivated to see the store succeed. This position has direct accountability for all recruitment, training and motivation of store team members.
10. To minimise staff turnover by practising the retention skills necessary to build a high performing team that operates effectively within a motivating store climate.
