Assitant Buyer

Little boys love to get muddy, break things, hammer things and generally be classic little boys. Whilst some little girls seem to enjoy this too - others (and definitely their Mums) want little girls to look great and be in safe, fashionable and comfortable clothes. This is where you come in

We are looking for an Assistant Buyer to join the Girlswear team and and ensure that every outfit is great (even when covered in mud). What does that mean for you? It's supporting the buyer in everything they do (and in the process learning as much as you can from them).

In more detail some of the key things the Assistant Buyer on Girlswear will do are:

• Managing a buyer's assistant to ensure administrative process is robust
• Supporting the team in building a range that is balanced, commercial and profitable
• Able to demonstrate understanding of fashion trends and how they are applied to buying
• Develop an understand of Mothercare's customers and how we deliver great product to them
• Manage a critical path including approvals, fits and quality checks to ensure the right product is available at the right time.
