Content & Direct Marketing Assistant
To maintain and update relevant product information on the www.mothercare.com website and support marketing operations within the "Brand Squad" by compiling, formatting, and reporting information and materials. The role is also the main point of contact for catalogue content.
Key Accountabilities
- Day-to-day responsibility and accountability for the website content within the relevant category.
- Develop processes to facilitate information gathering in order to ensure we work smartly with suppliers.
- Liaise with suppliers working with centrally produced, category specific pro-formas to collect and collate accurate data and all product details in order to consistently deliver:* Accurate product categorisation* Web copy* Web photocopy and video clips* All product mapping* PDF uploads of instruction manuals* URL links to brand websites* Mothercare URL link on suppliers websites
- Manage the day-to-day website content, amending mapping, changing photos, etc., to ensure that all information (such as that listed above) is uploaded onto the relevant web pages
- Ensure that adequate and accurate customer-orientated information is provided for all products so that products are marketed in the most efficient and effective way.
- Ensure all product details are correct and maintained on all relevant systems.
- Check website content before a season launch.
- Raise any website or catalogue issues, improvements, amendments within the relevant department.
- Main point of contact for catalogue content, in contact with various teams from publishing through to marketing to IT.
- Work with the Buying Team to check catalogue copy prior to printing.
- Contribute to the Project Team in order to help shape the future multi-channel strategy and structure proposals.
- Understand ALL relevant systems and the "end-to-end" process of product set-up from SKU, contract, JDA, Range Planner, Category Mapper, Scene 7, Mail Brain, through to uploading onto the Mothercare website.
- Become an expert user of Mothercare systems including but not limited to, JDA, Range planner and Mail Brain.
- Use various spreadsheets and understanding the figures, functions and formulas.
- Use interpersonal skills to be able to develop and manage successful business relationships
Organise and maintain files, emails and information in a clear and understandable way.
- Provide support to the Team and the Project Leader.
- Carry out administrative tasks and ad hoc duties, as required.

Education & Experience
- Experience of being in a customer focused environment.
- Experience of having contributed to a team, ideally within a retail environment.
- Experience of an office environment (desirable but not essential).
- A knowledge of the Mothercare product and appreciation of parents' needs
