Assistant Manager ELC - Aberdeen
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
KEY TASKS
- To carry out all management duties within base store, maintaining all areas of store
operations to the required standard, in the manager's absence.
- To support the manager in delivering the required standards of merchandising, presentation, housekeeping, customer service and promotional activity.
- To ensure best practise in terms of staffing levels, by following the rotas and schedules described by the store manager.
- To supervise staff within the store, under the manager's direction, ensuring staff are motivated and trained on an ongoing basis.
- To ensure all head office instructions are actioned and staff fully advised of product changes and developments as necessary. To implement any promotional or training initiatives in the manager's absence.
- To monitor Health & Safety practises, thereby ensuring that the store provides a safe and healthy working environment, through periodic checks and risk assessments, following all legal obligations with regards to Health and Safety and Safe Working practises.
- To help recruit, train and develop a team of talented individuals who are motivated to see the store succeed.
- To minimise staff turnover by practising the retention skills necessary to build a high performing team that operates effectively within a motivating store climate.
