Assistant Manager ELC - Aberdeen

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

  • To support the store manager in meeting or exceeding the store sales target
  • To work with the store manager to achieve Brand Standard in customer service and selling

    To work with the store manager to achieve Brand Standard in product presentation and merchandising.

  • To assist the store manager in the retention and development of high quality team members.

KEY TASKS

  1. To carry out all management duties within base store, maintaining all areas of store operations to the required standard, in the manager's absence.
  2. To support the manager in delivering the required standards of merchandising, presentation, housekeeping, customer service and promotional activity.
  3. To ensure best practise in terms of staffing levels, by following the rotas and schedules described by the store manager.
  4. To supervise staff within the store, under the manager's direction, ensuring staff are motivated and trained on an ongoing basis.
  5. To ensure all head office instructions are actioned and staff fully advised of product changes and developments as necessary. To implement any promotional or training initiatives in the manager's absence.
  6. To monitor Health & Safety practises, thereby ensuring that the store provides a safe and healthy working environment, through periodic checks and risk assessments, following all legal obligations with regards to Health and Safety and Safe Working practises.
  7. To help recruit, train and develop a team of talented individuals who are motivated to see the store succeed.
  8. To minimise staff turnover by practising the retention skills necessary to build a high performing team that operates effectively within a motivating store climate.
